Educators
The Pemberton Childcare Society is seeking Educators for the Pemberton Children's Centre. If your passion is working with children in a loving, caring, nurturing environment - we want to hear from you!
The Educators are responsible for teaching in a team setting in one of the three programs offered: Crickets, Beetlebugs, Dragonflies.
Educators are hired by the Managers and approved by the Board of Directors of the Pemberton Childcare Society.
Educators follow all licensing requirements, maintain regular attendance, attend regular staff meetings, maintain confidentiality regarding all information related to the children, families and personnel and fulfill obligations to respect and protect privacy of all families, participate in the annual performance review process and plan and carry out annual professional development plans as authorized by the Managers of the Centre, participate in short and long term planning, evaluation and the annual program review.

Permanent Full and Part-Time Educators
Qualifications
All applicants must have a criminal record check clearance letter.
A valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and license to practice is required.
One of:
Previous experience working with children is required, with preference given to those with experience working in a Child Care setting.
The following certificates are also required:
Wages are based on qualifications. The Pemberton Children's Centre offers a starting wage of $20.75/hr for ECE Assistant positions. While permanent educators holding a full ECE Certification receive a starting wage of $22.75/hr + additional ECE Wage Enhancement ($6/hour).
