The Pemberton Childcare Society is actively seeking On-Call/Casual Educators to assist with our Centre's programming.

Casual/On-Call Teachers support our Centre by covering vacation time and sick days.

​The Pemberton Childcare Society is seeking teachers for the Pemberton Children's Centre. If your passion is working with children in a loving, caring, nurturing environment - we want to hear from you!

The teachers are responsible for teaching in a team setting in one of the three programs offered: Crickets, Beetlebugs, Dragonflies.

Teachers are hired by the Managers and approved by the Board of Directors of the Pemberton Childcare Society.

Teachers follow all licensing requirements, maintain regular attendance, attend regular staff meetings, maintain confidentiality regarding all information related to the children, families and personnel and fulfill obligations to respect and protect privacy of all families, participate in the annual performance review process and plan and carry out annual professional development plans as authorized by the Managers of the Centre, participate in short and long term planning, evaluation and the annual program review.

Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Qualifications

All applicants must have a criminal record check clearance letter.

A valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and license to practice is required.
One of: 
  • Early Childhood Education Certificate
  • Infant/Toddler Certificate
  • Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate

The following certificates are also required:
  • Valid First Aid Certification
  • Foodsafe Certification recommended
 
Special Needs Certification and previous experience working in a Childcare Centre would be an asset.
