Board of Directors
The Board of Directors for the Pemberton Children's Centre truly appreciates the demanding work and caring nature of the Centre's staff and management.
Thank you.
Thank you.
The Pemberton Childcare Society is a registered non-profit organization that oversees the operation of the Pemberton Children's Centre. Formed in 2001, with the goal of opening a modern stand-alone daycare facility, the Society's mandate is to provide a loving, caring and nurturing environment for the children of the Pemberton Valley area.
In 2001, the Pemberton Childcare Society was formed by a group of parents and community members who recognized the need for daycare in our community. Their mission was to open a non-profit affordable childcare centre.
Through their volunteer work as well as generous grants and donations, the Pemberton Children’s Centre opened its doors in 2008. Since then, the centre has been run by amazingly dedicated staff who work tirelessly to provide the highest standard of care and by a rotating volunteer board of directors. The role of the board is to oversee the organization and raise funds for the centre.
Elected annually at the AGM, the board is composed of volunteer parents with varying skills and experiences but with the common goal of supporting the PCC.
Parents can become involved through their attendance and participation at monthly Board of Directors Meetings or joining a committee that reflects your skill set. Interested in becoming a member of the Board of Directors or joining a committee? Please contact the Centre for current information.
