SARAH HO (VICE Chair)
I am the mother of Amelia (Beetlebugs). My husband and I moved to Pemberton 4 years ago, at the end of 2016, and started our family here. I joined the board because I feel strongly about community involvement and supporting the Pemberton Children’s Centre goal of providing a quality early years environment. My background is in Environmental Science and I provide Fun Science For Kids classes as a fun way to try and inspire curiosity about the world around us.
KIMBERLEY JONES (Secretary)
I am Conor and Rowan Finnigan’s Mom. We moved to Pemberton 5 years ago. I joined the board as we are so grateful to have this wonderful daycare and I wanted to contribute as best I could. Prior to moving to Pemberton, I lived in Brisbane, Australia for 10 years where I completed my PhD and worked as a medical research scientist in the field of cancer immunology. I now work as visiting faculty at Quest University teaching immunology and biology courses as well as holding casual employment at Simon Fraser University doing data analysis.
Leslie Thomas (treasurer)
Mom of James (Dragonflies) and Kendall (soon to be Crickets). We moved to Pemberton in 2013, after living in Whistler for 3 years, to plant our roots somewhere we could raise our family amongst a community that shared our same appreciation for the outdoors and active lifestyle. I am currently retail accessories buyer for Whistler Blackcomb. I thought about joining the board for a couple years and finally decided to take the leap after having our 2nd baby and realizing being involved in our children's education and care was something very important to me.
Andrew Eccles
My son Liam currently attends the Crickets program and loves it! I am very grateful for the patient and caring teachers that make his days so fun and special. I have joined the board to ensure our children continue to have a safe and engaging learning environment to grow and develop. I moved to Whistler in 2009 from Burlington, Ontario. I was lucky enough to meet my wife in Whistler and we moved to Pemberton in 2016. My background is in Education and Recreation. I am a certified teacher that has taught at many of the schools in the Sea to Sky. I am currently a Recreation Programmer for the Resort Municipality of Whistler's early years and school age children's programs.
